This job is constantly providing me with opportunities for development! I’m always learning, last year I attended a conference abroad, there are many local meetings of the science community where it’s great to discuss and hear about other people’s work. Also opportunities to engage with the public like this one!

I guess the opportunity to meet and work with people from all other the world including opportunities to travel. That is especially important at the moment as I’m part of an international consortium with observing time in the first few weeks of operation of the James Webb Space Telescope.

To meet many great people, some them have become great friends and to travel to some amazing places while doing science!

So many opportunities! I get to travel abroad to conferences, for example to Amsterdam, Italy, Poland, all over the world. I get to go on placement in all kinds of exciting laboratories all over the world, my favourite so far has been Montreal, Canada. I also get to engage with the public a lot like during these questions! Last night I did some stand-up comedy about my chemistry research, and I often get to visit schools and science fairs to do fun chemistry experiments with the public, young and old 🙂
