      That is what we call a round bottomed flask – it’s just a vessel we use to perform reactions in. We mix up our starting materials in a solvent in the round bottomed flask and hope that the desired molecule is made. I just looked at the picture and it really does look like a lightbulb!! This one has a bit of a yellow oil in the bottom – giving it the colour. This is some material isolated from a reaction mixture that needs purified!
