I will try to spend all my fundings to solve energy problems in the world. We have limited source of natural resources (like coal, oil etc). Many countries are fighting for these.
Sunlight has infinite sources of energy. If we can cook food using Sunlight; if we can clean water using sunlight that will solve lots of problems. I have been involved with the research that involves Sunlight.
Since I’ve been here working on the T.Cruzi parasite which causes Chagas disease for the last 2 years, I would love to see that through and provide a medicine for the people currently suffering from this. It would be great to have move money and resource to throw at it! I’m sure we would succeed, I believe we will succeed with the money and skills we have now….but it would take a much shorter time if we had infinite budget and more people!
I’ll be honest and say I’m not really sure. Of course, there are a whole range of global challenges that face us and those would be the logical place to look. I’d probably look to try to solve the problem of global warming first as if we don’t nothing else really matters!
I would continue the work that I’m doing here at the University of Aberdeen. We have an excellent team and facilities so having an infinite budget will give us the opportunity to perfect our research, buy top-notch instrunmnets and continue to find new medicines from marine organisms
