Yes… but I wouldn’t push them… People need to develop at their own rate and in their own direction.

Hey – your name made me lol. Thanks for that. If I had a kid I would just encourage them to do what they loved. If they were interested in science it would be great and I could tell them a lot about what a job in science might be like…so it would be nice that I could be helpful to them! But, if they weren’t interested in science, I certainly wouldn’t push it on them, that would be the worst. You have to do something you enjoy!

Definitely! But at the end of day I would be happy with whatever they choose. I would encourage my kids to take sciences but not force them!

First of all, chloroform IS bae, it’s my favourite solvent. Second, I think everyone in the world should be interested in science, because science is all about asking questions and humans all love asking questions. I think it’s a useful subject and even if you don’t want to become a scientist, taking science will help you in later life. But I know that not everyone ends up liking science and wanting to take it as a subject at school. So I think it would be up to my child if they want to take science or not! I would tell them that it’s okay to follow whatever dream they have.

my parents did not do science, they studied literature and history; and that did not stop me to take science as my career. I will also keep the same approach; my children should take what they will find interesting, fascinating and what they love to do. However, I will teach them to have some scientific knowledge/awareness that will help them to survive as an individual and also help them to protect our environment.
