I’m a bit of a fan a science fiction and this question opens up all sorts of interesting ideas associated with time travel and the potential paradoxes associated with it. However, the only thing that jumps to my mind at the moment is that fact that the Ancient Greeks had a steam engine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeolipile) but did nothing useful with it other than using it as a toy. It would be interesting to show them how steam engines could power the world.

I would have loved to have discovered Penicillin! Then I would be able to tell people to only take it when you really need it!!

Hey, great question! I’d like to have invented zips – how useful are zips!? I’d be rich.
Or, something we don’t have yet – teleportation! Imagine moving from one place to another in an instant. I was thinking about that at the weekend when I was on a 6 hour drive down south….teleportation would have been ideal.
