Question: Have you experienced sexism from your co-workers or would you say there’s now a lot more equality in the chemistry sector ?

  I haven’t experinced any type of sexism at work but I do know colleagues that have been through this unpleasant experience. Chemistry and generally science is dominated by male professors however, I’ll speak for my fileld (marine natural products chemistry) as I am more aware of the situation. Curerntly, in my field there are a lot of great female scientists that are well-respected and highly admired and I am positive that the well-establishes male professors are more than happy and proud to see those women succeed in their career. So, I feel very lucky to be part of this field where gender doesn’t define your career
  I am fully aware that this is not the case in other fields of chemistryor other science. There’s definitely alot more equality but we still have a long way to go!
