Yes! I listen to music in my office on headphones (my favourite at the moment is BTS) In the lab we have a radio which we listen to quietly, but not too loud because we need to focus on our experiments safely.

Yup, I’ve always got music on in the office, I’ll have my headphones in and generally listen to chill mixes. In the lab we have the radio on, the signal is pretty rubbish and it’s an old non-digital radio so we just listen to what we can get. Mostly Tay FM who have a catalogue of about 15 songs that just get played over and over….I find myself singing along to songs I don’t even like!

Never in the lab, as it is not allowed for safety reasons. But when I’m at my computer reading or writing and want to focus I always listen to music

Music is life, music heals. I listen to music when I work in the office at my computer desk. We have ten PhD and postdoc researchers in the office. Therefore music helps me to concentrate and keeps me less distracted. However, I never listen to music when I am in the laboratory.
